Dan and Fiona took over the hotel in 2020, rescuing it from lockdown and working hard to develop it through the ups and downs of the pandemic. By August 2024, rising fuel and food prices, the challenges of managing a business and spending special time with wee Harris who came along just before taking over the hotel, they need to take a break.

The owner of the Lochailort Hotel, Flichity Estates, has decided not to keep the hotel open from August 24th when Dan and Fiona leave. Flichity Estates will announce their plans later.

Dan and Fiona will take a short break, then focus their business on Hebridean Larder catering and pop-ups.

all their customers, those who visited from the local area and from far away. Special thanks to Pawel, Kasia, Katie, Annalise, Lainey, Carol and Kirsty who have been such an amazing team.
